DigitalOcean provides us flexible servers (droplets) on the cloud sized for any application. Optimized configurations offer flexibility to build, test, and grow your app from startup to scale. Cloud Spectator, an independent benchmarking firm, found that DigitalOcean delivered the best CPU performance per dollar when compared to AWS and Google. DigitalOcean Droplets are Linux-based virtual machines (VMs) that run on top of virtualized hardware. Each Droplet you create is a new server you can use, either standalone or as part of a larger, cloud-based infrastructure. All DigitalOcean Droplets include variable amounts of local solid state disk (SSD) storage. Standard Droplets have the most efficient CPU usage at a lower cost for workloads that would underuse dedicated threads. They’re ideal for bursty applications that can handle variable levels of CPU, such as:
- Blogs & Stores
- Discussion forums
- Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Small databases
- Dev/test servers
- Repository hosting
Standard Droplets come in a wide variety of configurations, from 1 vCPU / 1 GB memory to 32 vCPUs / 192 GB of memory. They also give you the flexibility to choose the memory to vCPU ratio most appropriate for your application.
ServerPilot Agent used to configure and manage the DigitalOcean servers (droplets) while install various packages. Some of these packages are from Ubuntu’s repositories. Other packages are provided by them designed to not conflict with packages from Ubuntu.
Why ServerPilot Installs Its Own Nginx, Apache, and PHP Packages
ServerPilot builds their own “deb” packages of Nginx, Apache, and PHP. They do not install the versions of these provided by Ubuntu. The first reason they build their own packages is so they can configure your server with the latest, fastest, and most secure versions of these packages. They also want to ensure that they can provide the same versions of these packages across different versions of Ubuntu. If you are using servers running Ubuntu 16.04 and start using servers running Ubuntu 18.04, they want you to have all of the same versions of Nginx, Apache, and PHP available. Lastly, in the case of PHP, they also want to provide multiple versions of PHP side-by-side on your server. This is what makes it possible for a single server of yours to run apps with PHP 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 8.0
Choose a Hosting Plan
The Plans page shows how much memory, vCPUs, Storage, and Bandwidth will be included with each EnterCloud server. You have to choose regarding your needs, for example, one plan of the series Micro or Plus.
You can upgrade/downgrade anytime.
If you entered for first time you must register to the EnterCloud control panel. When you deploy a new EnterCloud server will resolves a new clean IP address.
|EnterCloud Series||RAM||CPU||SSD Storage||Bandwidth|
|CloudMicro 1||1 GB||1 CORE||25 GB||1 TB|
|CloudMicro 2||2 GB||1 CORE||50 GB||2 TB|
|CloudPlus 1||4 GB||2 CORE||80 GB||4 TB|
|CloudPlus 2||8 GB||4 CORE||160 GB||5 TB|
|CloudPlus 3||16 GB||6 CORE||320 GB||6 TB|
It’s easy and fast to Install WordPress using the EnterCloud control panel. The One-Click WordPress installation process can be done immediately after deploy a server. Give your WordPress app a name and select the server you want this app to be on (probably the one you just set up). Click create app.
Add Domain A Records
